Chasseriau House

The house where Theodore Chasseriau was born.

It is located in the village of El Limon in the district called Norberto de los Santos, also known as Katanga.

In the yard of a modern home can be seen buried walls, probably you remain of a house and circular foundations of a possible store. We know that in this area there was a working plantation where an oven that made bread to feed the slaves.

So far they have not been located in the area other vestiges of this type, which is considered to be associated with the plantation house of a Frenchman named Petitón, where probably lived the Curet Chasseriau family and where 20 September 1819 was born the famous French painter Theodore Chasserieu. Religious Cave

El Zumbador

The zumbador is located in the Valley section, near the Loma de la Cruz community. It is a small river which rises in the mountains, west side of the San Juan river basin, at a height of over 200 meters. It joins with other streams forming a series of small waterfalls before emptying into the San Juan River.

At the foot of the falls, the river San Juan is a land of sand, which end side is bordered by a group of bamboo trees, about 20 meters high. This whole place is characterized by a very tropical landscape image, caused by the vegetation of the San Juan River: great big trees full of epiphytas, palms and bamboo everywhere.

The first small jump Buzzer, almost hidden by vegetation, yet indicates that cascades extend into much higher.
