El Zumbador
Santa Bárbara The zumbador is located in the Valley section, near the Loma de la Cruz community. It is a small river which rises in the mountains, west side of the San Juan river basin, at a height of over 200 meters. It joins with other streams forming a series of small waterfalls before emptying into the San Juan River.
At the foot of the falls, the river San Juan is a land of sand, which end side is bordered by a group of bamboo trees, about 20 meters high. This whole place is characterized by a very tropical landscape image, caused by the vegetation of the San Juan River: great big trees full of epiphytas, palms and bamboo everywhere.
The first small jump Buzzer, almost hidden by vegetation, yet indicates that cascades extend into much higher.
Passing the first big jump, a popular bathing well, can be found above several jumps and pits to enjoy their fresh water. A few meters after this strip bank is coconut crops, banana and yam and little further grassland, that is, the cultural landscape that occupies the hills around the buzzer.
The top of the Buzzer is difficult to access because it is bordered by lush vegetation. Nearby are beginning conucos closed by fencing with cultured coconut, banana and yam.
The most common access is from the road Samana. At Km 3 Valley Road the first crossing of the Rio San Juan is located. From Samana are nearly four kilometers and takes about 20 minutes by truck here.
