El Valle Beach

El Valle beach is geographically the ‘mouth’ of the Valley. It is located in a gap of more than a kilometer from the coastal mountains. Here the Valley has access to the Atlantic ocean and the San Juan River flows. In the west up the Loma del Río with steep slopes up to 200 meters to the northwest. In the east and the mountains begin Loma Atravesada up to several hundred meters. With its steep slopes are almost 300m mountainous pediment that goes for more than two kilometers to the north. Here the Laguna Salada Valley is also located.

Madama Beach

Madama Beach is located within the Natural Monument in Samaná and spectacularly beautiful. It can be accessed either by land from Las Galeras, following an ecotourism trail prepared by the Ministry of Environment, or as traditionally arrives, out on a motor boat from the beach of Las Galeras.

Samana’s Coral Reefs

Samaná coast presents an interesting coral reef system.

On the one hand the coral shore, at a distance of between 100 and 200 meters from the coast which is localized scattered patches throughout the coastal area.

This reef can be visited with snorkel gear because of its shallowness, but only in areas where the breaking wave permits.

Most of the coast of the Samaná Peninsula is within the protected area Scientific Reserve Marine Mammal Sanctuary Banco de La Plata and Navidad.

Coral reefs are an essential for the conservation of biodiversity in the coast of the peninsula and to the sustainability of artisanal fisheries of many locals living element.

Onda Beach

Onda beach is just over 50 meters in length fitted between the existing rocky coast between Punta Berto and The Hermit. This is a typical secluded cove of great scenic beauty.

Cayita Honda Beach

Cayita Honda beach has a length of 150 meters while the width of the sandy strip is small. It has little surf due to the coral reefs that surround it, which makes it both a secure and peaceful bathroom. it  does not have access to land, although it is building a road to the site.

El Valle

” El Valle”  is a region made up of small hills between the mountains of the east and west. Valley basin is formed by the river San Juan, joining the stream and river  La Majagua (Cold River) and flows into the Playa del Valle in the Atlantic.

El Valle (with buzzer and Playa del Valle) is the area with more visitors on safari tours. Is a major attraction for tourism, for its Caribbean atmosphere with colorful houses, children calling, tropical landscape, a diverse agriculture (crops classic cocoa, coffee, coconut and banana) and overlooking the mountains.

Cayo Levantado

Cayo Levantado is located off Cape Arrows, about a mile from the coast, about 7 km from Santa Barbara de Samaná.

Salto de la Cola del Indio

Salto de la Cola del Indio is a beautiful medium-sized waterfall that has a large pond at the foot of the waterfall. Its  popularity ,  despite the beauty and interest of this site, has not consolidated the place as a staging point for tours and tourists, which makes it perfect if you want a private place.

Playa Frontón

It is located within the Cabo Samaná Natural Monument and is a place of great natural beauty.

Rincón Bay

Located between the Cabo Cabrón and Cape Samaná, undoubtedly the Rincón Bay has one of the most beautiful beaches in the insular Caribbean.

El Ermitaño Beach

Las Canas Beach

Las Canas Beach is a spectacular stretch of sand of almost two kilometers long that develops between the Punta and Punta Canas Berto.

The beach has a very extensive background of sand and surf is open to mostly.
Access by land is very complex and can not be reached by car to the beach right now, so we have to walk but this makes it perfect for a romantic time and alone.

Lanza del Norte Beach

Lanza del Norte beach is one of the beautiful coast of El Limón. It has a length of 800 meters and the sandy bottom is very wide. Most it is protected by the Punta Las Canas and the waves are moderate. On the beach leads a small pipe that drains some existing wetlands behind the waterfront..

La Majagua Beach

It is located in La Majagua, opposite the recently opened Atlantic Boulevard.
The land covers and the bottom of the lands that extend waterfront have been recently declared protected area.
On the beach there are large coconut plantations and is well connected thanks to Atlantic Boulevard and El Catey International Airport.
