Samana’s Carnival

It is celebrated in February in all towns in the province of Samaná and has a large popular participation. The neighbors of the people take to the streets to the sound of music, dancing happily. During this time the carnival romaneases “heat” for the great day of the main cavalcade of each population.  Santa Barbara de Samana’s Carnival numerous troupes come from various towns in the province, further enriching the traditional festival. Color, music and joy are the flags of the carnival of the province. This popular celebration is widely accepted and it is welcome all visitors who want to integrate.

On Lemon highlights the troupe called “The Infernal Horses”. The villagers take to the streets to the sound of music crossing it up and down dancing merrily.

Religious Cave

Located in Agua Sabrosa, one of the haitises which are located west of the village, the cave is of littl, but contains speleothems of great beauty and colors that are formed limestone walls are spectacular. It Contains 6 pre-Columbian petroglyphs and a painting of a flag of the Church of God of Prophecy. Currently it used as a place of worship by church members and Palmarito de Agua Sabrosa. Salto del Limón Waterfall in Horses

Explore the inside of the Samaná peninsula, where the mountain range reaches an altitude of 2,100 feet. Arriving at the ranch, you will be greeted by guides who will provide a safety briefing and instructions on how to handle your horse.
Each runner will be assisted by a qualified driver horse. Then he goes on horseback, making their way down the steep trails that his horse easily navigate. Discover isolated villages and a variety of local vegetation and wildlife such as coffee, cocoa and a variety of tropical fruits. You’ll wind your way through the field for about 30 minutes before reaching an area where you clear it, and walk the remaining path to the spectacular waterfalls.
When you reach the falls, you will be amazed by the cascade of cold water rising 120 feet and can take a dip in the refreshing natural pool. Subsequently, the walk back to the horses will be where they will have a drink of fresh water before returning to its starting point.
